This calculator is designed to show the real-world cost difference between vehicles that consume 5, 6, or 7 liters per 100 km. While these numbers may look close on paper, the financial impact becomes clear once you apply real distance and fuel prices.

Instead of relying on theoretical fuel economy figures, this tool converts consumption into actual trip cost. It helps you understand how much you really spend every time you drive, whether it’s a short commute or a long road trip.

The goal is simple: turn fuel consumption data into real money values that are easy to compare and understand.

How to Use the Fuel Cost Comparison Calculator

Using the calculator is straightforward. First, enter your total trip distance in kilometers. Then define the fuel price per liter based on your local station or current market price.

After that, set up three different consumption scenarios (A, B, and C). These can represent different cars, driving styles, or engine types.

You can also override fuel price per scenario if you want to simulate different countries or refueling conditions. Once you click “Compare”, the tool instantly calculates total trip cost for each scenario.

Why Fuel Consumption Differences Matter

Even a small difference in fuel consumption has a long-term financial impact. A car consuming 5 L/100km will always cost significantly less than one consuming 7 L/100km over the same distance.
